Senior DevOps & Security Engineer

Tokenomy is seeking a hands-on Senior DevOps & Security Engineer who will lead the way for our DevOps environment. The ideal engineer will bring their experiences, best practices, and a collaborative attitude to help drive DevOps initiatives. Security is the highest priority for our platforms and needs to be the first consideration in all deployments. To be successful, one must effectively communicate with our development and operations team to orchestrate the creation of solutions that can scale. The responsibilities include building a process for automation as well as contributing to the development of internal tools to achieve operational efficiency.

• Strengthen our application and environment security, applying standards and best practices and providing tooling to make development workflows more secure

• Ensure strictest access controls are in place for all systems

• Establish SLAs for service uptime, and build the necessary telemetry and alerting platforms to enforce them

• Architect and build continuous integration and deployment pipelines

• Continuously evaluate usage of cloud resources and optimise for performance and cost

• Deploy new environments for product development and testing

• Deploy and maintain CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments

• Propose, scope, design, and implement various infrastructure architectures

• Help increase system performance with a focus on high availability and scalability

• BSc or higher in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field

• A relentless security-first mindset. You think like an attacker

• Experience protecting sensitive customer data

• 3+ years of DevOps experience in a Linux environment

• 2+ years of experience with GCP/AWS/Azure

• Secure, scale, and manage Linux virtual environments

• Experience maintaining and deploying highly-available, fault-tolerant systems at scale

• Experience building platforms for monitoring & alerting

• Strong shell scripting skills

• Infrastructure automation experience (Chef, Puppet, Ansible)

• Experience with templating frameworks like Terraform, etc

• Problem-solving attitude

• Proactive with excellent communication skills

  • OS : Linux

  • Cloud Hosts : Google compute platform

  • Networking : Cloudflare, DNS, Firewalls, NAT, Ports, Subnets, VPC, VPNs, Wireguard

  • Tools (One or more) : Ansible, Chef, Terraform, Docker, Puppet, Vagrant, Github

  • CI/CD : Jenkins

  • Database : MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis

  • Programing Language (One or more) : Bash and Shell scripting, Golang, Javascript, Python
